London, August 22, 2005 – Lexar Media, Inc. (Nasdaq: LEXR), a world leader in advanced digital media technologies, announced Memory Stick PRO DuoTM Gaming Edition, a high speed memory card with capacities suitable for the popular Sony® PlayStation® Portable (PSPTM) gaming and multimedia handheld, allowing gamers to experience the total capabilities of the PSP console beyond gaming.
A limited edition, and available initially in Europe, Memory Stick PRO Duo Gaming Edition will include the popular XploderTM Media Centre Lite Software. A Windows® based application, Xploder Lite, from BLAZE, is a media management solution with a simple interface to easily drag and drop files, copy, upload and view content on a PSP. With the Memory Stick PRO Duo, the added software makes it easy to download game saves and cheats, download video and listen to music.
“Consumers are looking for ways to maximize their experience whether it’s playing Midnight Club III, saving video from this summer’s X Games or listening to Green Day,” said Fraser MacDonald, Product Marketing Manager at Lexar. “Lexar’s Memory Stick PRO Duo with the added Xploder Lite software makes it possible to enjoy the gaming experience and easily organize and navigate video and music capabilities of the Sony PSP.”
Available from major retailers, video game outlets and online stores, Lexar’s Memory Stick PRO Duo Gaming Edition will offer the high capacities, high-speed performance and reliability necessary to maximize use of the PSP as a multimedia centre.
Lexar’s Memory Stick Pro Duo Gaming Edition will be available in 256MB, 512MB and 1GB at most retail stores and comes with a lifetime warranty. Customers are able to upgrade from the included Lite version of Xploder to the full version, PSP Xploder Movie Player and Media Centre, via xploder. The full version allows for the conversion of movie files from a PC to the PSP.

wow…crazy!
How much?
mmm…. sounds crap just donload software form bittorrent….
they betta make it cheap cause hdd are coming to psp and after thats nobody will care anymore about 256 mb memory stick ..me i pay for a 1 giga thats enought 80 giga hdd usb is the next
And then you have to format your “software enh.” memory stick to make the darn thing work correctly whatever ver. of firmware you got…
I take it there’s nothing special about this hardware? Sounds like a memory stick + KXploit, but legit.
ya this is just a media manager, no big deal, nor is it neccessary, psp-scene has been doing just fine w/ out it :)
slow news lately……

More like porn and romz.
I support piracy
THE MORE COMPANYS THAT MAKE MEMORY THE CHEAPER IT GETS THIS IS GOOD NEWS. sorry about the caps
lol @ #8
What’s that memory stick for? I bet it’ll cost more than normal mem stick only for a pretty useless software. Lol who cares.

People still listen to Green Day?
It’s a nice idea, the stick that is, but all around useless
GO HOMEBREW!!!
GO PIRATES!!!
P.S. Price: £19.99
I am done with this site. it used to actually post news about the psp but now all it posts is loaders and homebrew updates. And when they do post news it is a week later than all the other sites.
funny…..I find the OTHER psphacks site waaay behind this one
big deal…
I LIKE TO TRY IT, IF SOMEBODY WANNA GIVE ME FREE !!!
GO FREE LOADER !!
you guys dont see that the point of this news isnt the included software but the production of cheaper “gaming versions” of memory sticks? this means that they will by cheaper than the current models since sticks are universal and lots of people will be using these for other applications once you delete that blaze media crap from it.
PSPUPDATES.COM is always updating their website. atleast 2 times every 5 ours. This website used to be updated regularly but now its really slow.
It varies but they were quick on posting the new loader. But about those damn memory sticks. There never gonna make a memory stick thats big enough for what I want to put on it,and there just way to expensive. There is ways to use an external hard drive, but your still transfering it to and from the memory stick. We need someway to just be able to stream off the hard drive, then I’ll be a very happy man.
PSPUpdates.com post a bunch of crap on their website. And they have a bunch of pop ups, unless you sign up for their premium sevice. I wouldn’t pay for that crap when all the good homebrew stuff is posted here for free. Unless you care about a bunch of useless crap and some game info that you could get at IGN.com that I would rather pay for.

How lame is this guy?
This memory stick is highly homosexual, how the hell is this memory stick going to make
saving videos a “maximized experience.” What is there to experience while saving a video, its not like your watching it. And how the hell is it gonna make the gameplay better? Increasing the sensativity in first person shooters by 37 000. I find this product untrue and pathetic. This is absolutely dreadful.
#12 - “People still listen to Green Day?”
People have been listening to GreenDay for over 9 years, and will continure to do so for many more.
To post 24:
“People have been listening to GreenDay for over 9 years, and will continure to do so for many more.”
Green day is gay. They play it too much on the radio. For a matter of fact Punk is gay. And so is Rock. And don’t forget Limp Bizkit; he’s gay too.
I Agree with 25.
Fuck Greenday, FUCK Them to Hell.
Long Live True Heavy Metal.
