Yes! I know that Midnight Club3 Dub Edition USA is over 1gb in size. What can i take out of it in folder 4mat & then use VcdromX 2 put it back in iso 4mat.

Nothing there is one file inside of the ISO that is over 1GB. You can not take anything out of it to make it less than 1GB.

To put the extracted files togeter go to MS-DOS and use the COPY command. Ex: Copy fileA+fileB+fileC /B

The /B option is to set the file as binary file.

For help about COPY command, use COPY /?

OK this is crazy! i havent even tried out the game part yet but i tried taking Resident evil for the psp off the UMD like 20 times now and every single time when i try to connect the files using command Prompt it NEVER works! im doing exactly what #29 is saying! i dont get it. 1 thing thats odd is when i go to command prompt and copy it part1 takes like 10 min to copy and seems like its actually doing something then when part2 comes up it goes a second later and never combines.

alright so i finally figured it out somehow but now it doesnt recognize it as a movie file and i cant play/downsize it

I tested out the Dumper with a game that i own, Spider-man 2. When i played the “dumped” version using flashloader, it kind of froze. I died, and the camera rotated just like it would on the normal game, BUT it never went to the “you have been killed–would you like to retart the beginning of the level” screen. Does every1 encounter problems while ripping UMD’s, or is it just me? Am i doing something wrong?

This program is getting sweeter and sweeter every week.

I have 1.0 and got Rengoku to work! However I’ve been trying others with no luck :(

Well, more on 1.0, many games start but there seems to be a problem with memory stick saves. Darkstalkers starts but crashes when checking saves, ATV Off-road crashes but if you avoid creating a profile y works.

Some more tests:

coded arms - not working
bleach - crashes
wipeout - starts, tries to load for memory card, crash
lumines - starts, crash
NFS Rivals - Same thing, if you choose not to save automatically, it gets ingame, if tries to save, crash to psp menu

So there’s a problem saving to memosy stick quite clearly, maybe its me doing something wrong?

Updating to 1.5 is a one-way street for the moment. There really aren’t any advantages to having 1.0 firmware. In fact, there are some disadvantages such as the tremendously long time it takes to turn off the PSP. Still though, why update when there’s no way to reverse it? There’s still the possibility that people might consider their 1.0 PSP’s to be collector’s items. There’s more to PSP’s than running homebrew. Just my thoughts.

The thing is that currently I’m ok with my 1.0 since there’s no killer game I’ll care to upgrade for. I mean, if there was a Tekken, MGS, Soul Calibur, Final Fantasy, etc. I would probably upgrade, but right now I’m ok with playing homebrew and waiting for Fastloader to improve, and since it almost plays many games on this release and don’t think the saving problem will take much effort to solve, I’ll wait and treasure my 1.0 PSP.

Could someone please explain how to connect the parts back together,or a link to tell how.I cannot figure the ms-dos thing out.I have a 512 sd and it ripped the game into 3 parts now how do I get them back together.Once you get them back together can I use magic iso to make it into an iso?

I can’t get this to work. I did what the instructions said but I get corrupt data ( which is the FASTLOADER directory). Can someone help me off the ground. Also this is the first time I am trying to use the Fastloader

I haven’t tested running it on the psp yet, but here’s how to recombine…
(bob1 = my latest dump 1)
(bob2 = my latest dump 2)
(bill = file combined name)

“COPY BOB1 /B + BOB2 /B BILL /B”
you’ll end up with a file called BILL that’s the combined. rename it “BILL.ISO”, (or whatever, if you don’t like bill…)

TRIED TO BACKUP UNTOLD LEGENDS… CAME OUT TO 824 MEGS.. BUT THE FILE WON’T RUN.. TRIED TO RENAME IT TO .ISO AND THE FILE OPENS ON MY PC AND YOU CAN SEE THE FILES BUT STILL NOT WORKING WITH LOADER.. TRIED IT AS 1 FILE (NO SPLITTING) ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Only gripe I have about V0.7 is with puzzle bobble, the sound is kinda F’d up compared to the last version which runs fine.

i dont know why need for speed dosnt work i have FW1.5 and it worked with fastloader 6

if need for speed works on version 6 than why don’t you put both versions on your memory card, just rename 1 of them to lose corrupt data?? that will solve that issue.

You know what I find funny. How the 1.0 people use to give us 1.5 people crap about not having a crack for ours. And now that we have one all the homebrew works better on ours. And they sit here complaining about how it doesn’t work well on there precious 1.0s. Is it time for us to point our fingers and laugh or what.

#72 go into your windows dir folder and find the command prompt file, and copy it to the folder were your files are then try it. I always have to do this because mine always tells me it can’t find the files. It’ll have to see them if there in the same folder right.

#73 i tried to copy the ms-dos and it says some error and click to terminate.

lol got another prob I try to dump the iso then it reads as corrupt and i can move it or what ever

#74 not ms-dos command prompt the file will read CMD.exe it’s in the system32 folder in your windows dir folder.

What I ment to say in the post above is not ms-dos but command prompt. ms-dos is different then command prompt. From what I’m tolf ms-dos dosn’t work well in Windows, it will only work well if you boot directly in to ms-dos instead of booting into windows. Which I won’t do if I wasn’t good at using it.

I got the same problem as 75 i try to move files from f:/isosplit/ then it says file or directory is corrupt

go to start,run,then type in cmd.exe then ok.Then it should say c:\documents and settings\john doe> at least thats what mine says then just put the files in that folder rename them like 55 was saying and it works,Thanks for the help 55

Or you could copy the cmd.exe to the folder you have your iso’s in and you won’t have to move your iso’s. This way you can leave this folder as your iso joiner folder and us it every time you do this. Or just do as the guy above said. Or you could just click the star button, then go to program files, command prompt.

Mercury works on the 1.0FW.

#87- Theoretically, that could work… In practice, there could be code in the game itself that requires the 2.0 FW, thus rendering the game unplayable… Even still, there could be ways around it, but we won’t know for sure until a 2.0 required game comes out.

(For what it’s worth, the FastLoader seems to be able to allow games to bypass 1.52 updates…)
