this i cool and all but how much cheaper are mem. stick pros compared to the psp ones, i just checked on mwave and these pros are still quite pricey.
Here in the UK there isnt much of a saving if any, you just cant get a 4 gig duo - Though at 400 quid for one, I went for the portable 40gig hard drive and transfer option - saved me 300 pounds that way :)
stormuk,
Can you explain better that thing about a portable 40Gb hard drive?!?!?! How did you do that?!?!
Please, cause that was what i want ;)

:)
What No Pics????
Can someone give me a link to this 4gb memory stick that you are using? If the stick isn’t too outrageously priced, I would definately be interested in the adaptor.
But that 40G hd makes little diff from plugging it to the PC since it can’t run any apps directly on it. I am already swapping movie files like that with the stick. Everytime I have to load a new movie I basically have to swap it between the stick and the PC.
Lavino, its a fair bit smaller than a pc though - and you dont have to lug the additional monitor, keyboard & mouse around whilst looking for a socket, to plug it all in whilst sitting in the park :)
4 gig idea is fine just to me seems alot of cash for such a small gain over a 2 gig card.
If you think about it a 1gb Memory Pro stick runs you about 105-110$, if your buying this contraption it runs you 25$ and a 1gb Memory Stick Pro Duo will run you about 120-130$. You do the math, pay 130-135$ for a device that has to be shiped or pay 120-130 for a stick that is right there. A 2gb Memory Stick Pro is rare to find also so that wont work ethier.
Can get a 4GB Pro stick all day long on eBay from $270-$295…a 4GB Pro Duo stick(if you can find it) will run $475 and up.
i didn’t know there were any 4 gig pro duo’s. all i knew of was the 2 gig which was like 300 bucks. with teh 30 buck adapter, and 270 4 gig, you pay the same ammount but you get TWICE the gigs. i think that’s a perfectly fine deal myself. :-)
They’ve sold out for now! O_O
I really like the idea of that 40gb external HDD. Sounds perfect for UMD Isos, music and movies. Also the fact that I can take it with me on vacation to backup my 256mb digital camera card is perfect. Think i’ll pick one up later this month.
1gb duo pro’s are $78.99 at NewEgg.com
hey, this stuff is pretty wicked and good job to everyone helpin out…
i live in montreal quebec canada and i wud like to get my hands on that 40 gig harddrive… wud anyone know the best place for me to get it and explain to me how it works?? if so plz email me nayan742@hotmail.com
Thanks….
I saw a site advertising a PSP HD, now if only I could find it again. thought there was no swapping. It just connected.
