Hit select to change the keyboard language. The top buttons will still be in Japanese, but the letters will change to English.

Thsi thing ROCKS!! I got it b4 it was here, but hey guys GREAT 2 see all the news updates and that u guys provided this file even though pspupdates didnt cuz they think its piracy. U guys should use this! Even if u dont have WiFi, u can type stuff into the index and that would be ur portal and u could actually use this a text reader too. And I used it with all my favorite klinks and stuff! Only problem is the japanesae writing. Cant tell which connection im using. Maybe some1 could make a translated version?

dude..2.0 comes with an official SONY web browser..It adds another icon to your menu. Right next to game! woohoo

this is MUCH faster than the wipeout browser, but due to the lack of a return button it can be a pain. Anyway, I’m so glad I got my psp, everytime a new homebrew app is released it’s like christmas lol.

EDIT: actually, there is a way to return to the start page so it isnt that much of a problem. i did notice some annoyances when typing in urls or google searches, but overall it’s a pretty cool app to play with.

You will still be able to use the wipeout browser with 2.0, but why would you want to? The page redirection that makes the Wipeout browser work takes place outside the PSP. Quite simply, the browser sends out a request for the Wipeout download page and a server intercepts the request and replaces it with a different page. There is no way a firmware update can disable the wipeout browser.

you can view pics, search, email, everything, all you need is at least a wireless connect, doesn’t even have to be yours….just follow read me directions and fiddle with it for a while..once you connect just hit ’select’ to switch to english..great!!

you don’t make a folder called MS_root dumass. You store the friggin’ program on a root drive itself. Not in any folders. Copy and paste the shit to the f: or d: or whatever: your dumass psp shows up as. Don’t put it in a folder. Dumass. Brilliant work programmers!

-Connect your PSP to your computer in USB mode.
-Unpack the download VIA Winrar.
-You should see a file called edited browser, double click on it.
-You should see a file called browser, double click on that.
-You should see four items in here: BRW_GAME, PSP, EBOOT.PBP, and README.txt. The readme only helps you to configure your own portal/homepage.
-Drag BRW_GAME onto the root of your memory stick. (where you see the item labeled PSP, but DO NOT put it inside the PSP folder.
-Go back to the unpacked winrar folder.
-Drag the item labeled EBOOT.PBP into the root of the memory stick. (where PSP, and BRW_GAME are located.)
-Go Back to the unpacked winrar folder.
-Double click on PSP.
-Double click on game.
-From winrar drag the files BRW and BRW% to the PSP/GAME folder. -DO NOT Drag the item labeled ORIGINAL.PBP
-Disconnect PSP and go over to games (on your PSP)
-Load up the one that is called PSP Browser.
-Press CIRCLE on the word google.
-Press CIRCLE on the first Japanese word you see.
-Select your internet connection.

This is a cool browser, but if the people who ripped this off the Tenchi no mon UMD did this to Wipeout and its browser, everything would be much better.

The Wipeout browser is certainly better in terms of user friendly. It has a back button, stop button and reload button. Not to mention everything is in English! And X does the work, instead of Circle…

If I had a Gig memstick I’d rip my copy of Wipeout to see about extracting the browser, but until a ripping program that uses USB-to PC connection to dump UMDs comes out, I am stuck.

I managed to rip the UMD of Wipeout. Of course, I know nothing of how this person took the browser out.

This browser really is one of the best things to happen to us 1.5 users in quite a while. Now we can easily surf the net from wherever there is a wireless sinal. So a couple of buttons are in jap.. its really not that hard to figure out of you’re not a complete tard. Thanks PSP-Hacks for the download!

No. The only browser that 1.51 is capable of using is the Wipeout Pure’s / Tenchi no Mon’s, and that’s with the UMD.

Now if only we could go back pages that would make this even more freakin sweet.
