#26 – Players arnt visible unfortunalty but it works :). This is great news – well done once again psp-dev. On a side not – does anyone else have the genesis emu crash sometimes in the middle of games – it runs perfectly but just crashes after 10mins of play.

where tho? in the game folder? im totaly lost here…i created a new folder in the game folder and put that in and it says corrupted data

soo..

2) copy the contents of the pspbrewpack1 folder into the GAME directory on your memchip.

3)You will see 1/2 corrupt and the other 1/2 as good files. ignore the corrupt and load from the good files. (they are labeled, so you know which emulator)

Use the MS1 EBOOT with the KXploit Tool. Then just put your backgrounds on the root directory and run the app. Hope that helps.

copy the second EBOOT.PBP that belongs on MS2 to your memory stick under \PSP\GAME\PSPersonalize

Every homebrew I have tried works… only 1 or 2 bad comments about the new hack, wow thats a surprise. I remimber when the swap came out every comment from #8 to #80 was nothing but a bunch of whiners. Thank you PSP-DEV for making a great hack more perfect :)

all the games that i uplaod are in .smc file form but the program plays the game sooo slow. is taht just me or is this happenin for eveyrone?

It appears as though Doom does load, but cannot find certain files for load up. On my 1.5 screen I see 4 lines of small white text appear, and then the game quickly and quietly exits. I’m sure all we need is patience, Lantus should know what files are missing and where they need to be moved. Let’s all just celebrate the release of this wicked loaded! No Swap!!

not really yas. If u have the newest ver of SNES9X.3a then move the joystick to the left while in game play to bring you to a menu then it will have an option to change the clock speed, its at 222MHZ at defult if you change that to 333MHZ the max than it should go alot faster. Then push the joystick up, to bring it to 3 or 4 FPS. That should get you running a decent speed for most games. Hope that helps.

i got the emu running but what format do the games have to be in to run???

For batman, The folder has to be called Doom-PSP or else it wont work. So if you put it through the Xploit then you should get 2 folders (Doom-PSP and Doom-PSP%) put both of them in the folder [X/:PSP/Games/] than it should work. For PSPersonalize refer to post 66, just remimber in that case the % folder should have the smaller PBP. (if this ends up as a 2x post sorry)

Yes it does, you dont even have to use the swapoilt or the Xploit. If u have the ver that has two EBOOTs than make one folder under X:/PSP/GAME/PSPersonalize and another called X:/PSP/GAME/PSPersonalize%. then put the file that has 378kb in the folder with the %. that worked for me.

Making sure the directory name was DOOM-PSP and DOOM-PSP% worked. Wicked!

this shit is awesome. I’m wondering if there’s a way to customize the selection icons (instead of the PSP-Launcher one). It’s kind of confusing with so many selections to tell the difference. It’d also be pretty cool for the BIOS to not recognize the “Corrupt” icons (not process folders with % at the end). Is such a thing possible?

1)you download the emulator
2)extract the files to a dir
3)use new xploit to create a dir for the emulator ex. nes-psp and the file u want to select to use is the eboot file from the emulator zip
4)drag the files u extracted over to the folder u created, the one without the % (you dont have to copy over the readme and some other the other files, use your judgment)
5)take the roms you have an according to the instructions move them where they are needed. I havent used them all so im not sure where they all go but NES goes in the same dir as the eboot file, and SNES roms go in a dir where the eboot file is named ‘Roms’

#102 rename the quake wad file to DOOM2.WAD and place it in the folder with the DOOM1.WAD file

Ive tried roms and emus that dont work and some other that work too slow/ kinda slow and then tried the same roms and emus on his 1.0 and they work GREAT. Maybe code is not efficient enough i dont know, i think ill grab my own 1.0 on ebay

try overclocking ur psp to 333… 1.0 will be just as slow. (atleast thats my understanding)

so this is a custom brew pack generator. You tell it what brew items you want and it will give you a zip completely built out so all you have to do is copy it to your card.

Okay, that worked. now which folder of SNES do i put the .smc file in? the SNES or SNES%?

there is a folder called roms in the SNES folder put it in there.

I followed the instructions EXACTLY for VBA but it works 1/50 times…. I don’t know what to do. The file selector is in Japanese or something and I don;t know how to select my file. I find it and press O then it brins up another page and I can press X or O and its just so confusing…

OK guys this is real simple. They didn’t change anything except the directory name of memory stick 1. So just take all the directories on your memory stick 1, add a % to the end of them, and copy em over to memory stick 2.

End of story, no need to use the new software. I still use PSP homebrew 9 for custom icons.

and choose SNESy and copy that to your card. now when you go left with ur analog u will get to a menu allowing you to change screen size.

Putting the Proccessor at 333 will do no damage. Gran Turismo 4 will be running at 333 when it comes out.

I got the emulators on my psp but i can’t seem to get the games to run, keeps saying error. I am trying to play Super Street Fighter-The New Challengers(E)[!].smc and it just doesn’t boot up. I read in the early posts that it says to put it in the rom folder for the snes emulator but i don’t see it. Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong?

im trying to play doom
i downloaded it from psphacks…generated the files w/ the new xploit..so i have doompsp and doompsp% i put the doom.wad file in the doompsp folder and when i go to load it i get a black screen w/ tiny white text in the upper left corner that i cant read….then it just goes back to my menue. im not sure what im doing wrong:(

matt – click on my name and download the doom zip… delete all doom stuff you already have (except the WAD) then put the wad in the PSP-DOOM folder not the ‘%’ one. and voila! (these intstructions are on the page too)

google the program “winrar” its free and it works.

i uploaded the two directorys %snes and snes to the psp,k the emu starts up fine but when i select the rom i have in there it goes to a black screen that say rom is loaded and than after a while the psp jsut shuts off.. help wat am i doingw rong?

Dose anybody know how to take out the defult background form memory. For example, when I try to change the month it gives me a white screen then I have to press it again inorder for it to load the proper background. Also, when navigating to pick the emulators for the memory stick it gives it a hard time updating the image of the emulators and makes the imagies look square with white then it loads the image. Any idea on how to take care of this.

it does that because there not enough memory in the firmware to switch between pictures so you get the white screen which alows you to switch pictures

Are there any faster emulators available? I am getting very choppy FPS. -OR- Are there any fast emulators? I would settle for GBA rom to play mario games fast, but from what I hear the GBA emu, just discussed before this one was also pretty slow, so should I expect similar FPS on all emu’s or is it only these?

i dont have my usb cord yet, but i followed the exact directions that came with xploit and make a fake psp file, and my SNES EBOOT.PBP file is 0KB, is that okay?

My mem card got corrupted messing with this stuff,had to format it and lose everything, not saying its bad stuff or anything. Just make sure to back up your save games. I lost all mine. But I have 50 gbc games to play so thats a plus.

The possible reason it got currupted is the read/write error, probably too early disconnection or you just cancel something in the middle, or the connection was lost for a milisecond and came back.
–Of course, ALWAYS back up your MEMORY STICK.. it only takes like a second to copy everything off before you run the hacks on your PSP..

I NEED HELP PLEASE! in my genesis file, i put 2 games, madden and mortal kombat, but the madden file type is a “BIN File” and mortal kombat is an “SMC File”, are these file types correct, how do i change the file types so they work?

all u need to do is copy everything from ur 2 memory sticks to one..

so lets use NES for example

memory stick 1 goes in the NES% folder
memory stick 2 goes in the NES folder

u dont even need to use the new kxploit release

we didnt even need to WAIT for it.. it could have been done when the MSwap was out..

hey i downloaded the seamonkey pack with all the emulators and the snes one runs fine..but the genisis i cant play the games they wont show up in the menu..yes i put the rom in the folder without the %..help

bejeweled works fine and it has no problem, hold O and move the stone up down sideways, will switch.. it is not a demo. it works

thats good.. they should post it up on this site that the KXPLOIT tool dont need to be used for mac users, u just need to make folders and use the mswap program for mac to make the EBOOTS and put the smaller EBOOT in the % folder and the bigger EBOOT in the non % folder
