Homebrew UMD Dumper

I found something, on a.b.sony.psp, which appears to be a UMD Dumper. Apparently this UMD Dumper will create an ISO image of the contents from the UMD and copy it over to the PSP’s memory stick. Of course, this only runs on firmware version 1.0.

I’ve dumped the Shin Sangoku Musou(KOEI),used about 2min30sec.I’ve made a video for the dump.Anyone interested?
i am interested i’v tried so many different ways of putting videos, and games unto the psp … i have the 2nd psp that came out as well as a psp go can that be done as well..

No, it means you can copy a UMD game to your memory stick; this does not mean you can play it off the memory stick. Not yet anyway.
Has anyone actually verified that these are in fact iso’s of the real umd disks and not just carbage?
I’m quite weary of using this in case it contains any malicious code. Is the source available?

if only the 1.50 uncompatibility problem was resolved..
What would be the point of copying it to the memory stick but can’t play it?

What about movies and music? Can you dump the sampler disc and watch the music videos from the stick?
I wonder if you can use this for the UMD movies (Can you rent those?). You could rip them to iso and save to your HD and collect a nice little library. That is, if the umd movie formats are mp4 also. It would at least save a lot of decoding/encoding time. Is this basically what you did Pbug?
UMD video is not MP4. It is MPS
To HiFi and Cool:My PSP is Jap version and I have no any Sample disc/ UMD video disc(and can’t rent).

I used magiciso to make iso image from cd.
this is great, you can rent games and then dump them onto your memory stick….free games…ultimate stealing
does umd dummper take of the warrenty ?
