For those who are still running Windows 98, cosinezero – a recent member of our forums, has made a modification to the existing iPod USB driver for Windows 98 and now it will work with the PSP!

working, i tested with my PSP (type A)
I installed AnarchoiD’s thing, nothing has changed. Is there some trick to accessing it or am I out of luck?
I wish I could use paypal I need something that works, now.

Hey CJ, you just have to unzip the files to a folder and connect your PSP Type A to your PC. When Win98 detects your PSP, just direct the installer to the driver under “Win98″ folder of the files which you have just unzipped.

Yes it works and it is free, and I’m using it now.
But when you want to disconnect the PSP from your PC you have to literally cancel it from the PSP first, this isn’t a good thing.
With the proper driver you are given an icon in the taskbar which yuo can/should click and select ‘stop USB device’ then after a moment you’ll receive a message ‘You can now safely remove the hardware from your computer’ the shitty driver that y’all are using now doesn’t have this option and if you ever notice any corrupted data from your PSP, this is why..
I had the proper driver for Win98 and I’d ben using it for months but after a reinstall of Windows I lost it, but not before uploading it to rapidshare but my post was removed from the webpage I posted it. :(
The psp usb driver from AnarchoiD works. Why does the message safely remove show up? Because it’s windows 98. Works fine just even if you cancel the connection from the psp.
