Team Xecuter Confirms PSP Videos Fake
greg | May 23, 2005
As assumed correctly by everyone, Team Xecuter has made it official - the videos are fake. They are not responsible for them.
From www.teamxecuter.com:
Some not so funny guys have been posting fake videos of “hacked” psp games with a Team Xecuter intro.
First of all to the sites posting these as “news” - use common sense - ask the actual teams involved or even look at the actual news page (i.e. this page) for release news - don’t go posting videos that are unverified simply to gain extra hits and publicity without verifying its validity - saying that you would post ALL news no matter what isn’t a very clever policy for a reputable news site. Plus we certainley don’t need to be bombarded with a thousand emails from a bunch of headless chickens gagging to be able to play hacked games.”
This was also mentioned:
“Our current work involves busting the firmware - the firmware dumper is already working and there has good progress been made in booting games and also homebrew on different firmware versions (v1.5 etc). We are giving support and advice to other underground teams as well as receiving help ourelves - its an excellent “group” effort without anyone actually knowing about who or what is involved. Apologies if the odd spoiler we throw your way freaks one or two minds :D”
Check out their site for more information. www.teamxecuter.com
As a side note: the psp.dubayou.com video is fake too.

what are we waiting for…..
“there has good progress been made in booting games and also homebrew on different firmware versions (v1.5 etc)”
YES!!
“We are not planning on making any kind of chip for the PSP - we dont think it will even need one - any hack we do will be free and given to the scene, solely because we like the PSP as a handheld and its a challenge.”
:) :) :)
great news, as for the fags claiming they have done homebrew on the 1.5 they can suck a dick. i wouldnt buy a modchip for my psp anyways, but i would flash the firmware. but i hope they can find a way without having to do that, or sony gives in to just homebrew.
teamXecuter does it again :P
Come on, come on…
I wanna play mame on the train!
These are the news items i like to hear!!!
Congrats to TeamXecutor in advance, they did us proud with the xbox….
No doubt, Team Xecuter is the shizzle. Guess we’ll just have to be patient from this point forward.
/me twidddles thumbs
I give TeamXecutor 3 thumbs up if i had 3 thumbs!
Good job teamX. FYI, i would have been more than happy with a modchip. The extra features that can be offered by a chip would be reason alone.
Spend some time in the teams irc room, you might hear something good.
