drdude I agree with some of what you say but I dont think emulation is exclusivly for retro games. Most emulators get made well before the games they play are considered retro. I would say that emulation is mainly aimed towards piraters.

i belive that bing a warez kiddy isnt always the best thing… but i use emulation to replay the games i own i have 3 box’s of SNES games in my shop… and i own evory rom for those games…
same with NES(only 1 box)

emulating the psp is good for one main reasion.. it alows people like me who have a 1.5 to see the home made apps that only work on 1.0

This emulator does not work on games unless you have screwed with the game and there fore turned the game into a homebrew app . so your games will not work with this silly peice of junk!!!

i think u are missing the point dick face, emulators are so that people who do not have the console can play games on their pc instead if they have access to the games. We arent all rich enough to get a psp so why not stick you psp up ur ass and see what an emulator is really for ;-)

Ok. Unfortunately, you cannot play commercial games on this PSP emulator. This emulator is strictly for “homebrew” games that are found on this site. So, for example, you cannot play Need for Speed: Underground watchamecallits or Ridge Racer/Rider whatever.

Just clearing that up, since many people were asking. (I did not read all the way down, but i noticed a few people asking so I thought I would clarify a lil).

Guys, i know that you are blogging about an emulator to play the PSP games on a PSP which is nice, but keep in mind that most of the games are allready available on PC. What im looking for is a way to connect the PSP to a PC and play the games using the PSP as a controller and the PC or laptop (even better) screen to actually see what is played.

The PSP display is great, not dissing that at all, but if I have a laptop when on the move anyway (working man), it would be even greater to be able to play using the PSP as controller while using the laptop to display the game.

Would be wicked! If you know if there is solution for this kind of gameplay let me know.

Actually, playing a real PSP game is possible, it just takes a little work. You need to convert ISO files to .ELF then rip to .PBP rename the File EBOOT. The games lag like crazy and I have found Numerous problems running commercial games. Including BSOD errors and having the program crash at loading screens. I reccomend waiting until a true Emulator is developed.

All these PSP emu’s I’ve found… They all play old games and homebrews but nothing else… Really, if you want to play SNES, NES, and GBA games, get SNES, NES, and GBA emulators. There’s lots out there that work perfectly, you know. Everyone looking for PSP emulators wants to play maybe 1 or 2 games ACTUALLY FOR PSP, but don’t want to blow a pile of money on a real PSP to play just those specific games on it (for example, I want to play Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, and that’s about it). You should gear your work toward commercial games, because not only will it be more useful, but you won’t be getting ‘yelled’ at by 10-year-olds wanting to play the latest FF game or crazy people spouting incomprehensible nonsense in half-spanish languages I can’t even recognize. Sorry, but I’m not gonna bother trying to make this work, since neither PSPE nor potemkin have worked for me at all (except potemkin DOES display strange colours that look like they’re a collage made of random screen tearing…).
