We were driving home from work while greg was playing his PSP, he discovered we were in a area with a particularly high amount of wireless networks. Not just networks but the ones that have a special place in my heart. SSID Linksys, immediately I pulled over so we could achieve our very first PSP hack. We knew that these networks were probably open and the routers were probably set to the default username and password, but how could we exploit this? Luckily Greg had also purchased a copy of Wipeout pure with his PSP. Using the secret browser we were able to get on the net, the next test was to see if these clueless people had bothered to change their router logins. As usual when you see an SSID with linksys the login was not changed these things were straight out of the box. After jumping and penetrating several networks using solely the Sony PSP, we decided to call it a day and not bother changing any settings. I’m sure we’ll be back to this neighbourhood when some more software has been written for the PSP to see if we can penetrate computers on these networks. to be continued…
